Tonya E. Goff
LPC, CADC

Hello, I am Tonya Goff a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. I am a military veteran who served 20 years in the US Navy and obtained my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.

When dealing with the burdens of life, whether it be marital/family discord, addiction, or emotional issues, we are often unsure about what our next step should be.  My goal is to provide you with tools for your toolbox to better assist you in making those difficult decisions as you continue your journey and walk into your destiny.

My passion is working with youth, young adults, couples, self-esteem issues, and substance use disorders. I typically use an integrated approach that includes Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy.

It is my desire that during our time working together you will be restored, renewed, and revived. I understand this may not be an easy process to go through, and I thank you for even considering me to walk alongside you. I won’t lie, you may experience an array of emotions, and even some challenges as well as delays along the way. However, if you trust the process, I believe that you will be well equipped to handle those tough situations that come your way.

Resident in Counseling, ADC1

Sometimes life throws us a curve ball that is hard to navigate. I want to come alongside you and hold space as you process how to show up in life as your best self. Through talk therapy, one can come to understand themselves and also others in more meaningful way.

I have been in the counseling field for the last 16 years, working with substance abuse clients and assisting others in the career development space.

I have experience with child, teen, and adults in processing sexual trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders.

I embody a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework where we will identify thoughts and behaviors that are not helpful to you and work to building healthy coping skills to help you manage life in a balanced way.

Christy Brown

Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern

I am a clinical mental health counseling intern at Regent University pursuing my master’s degree. I have been a certified mental health coach for the past two years, walking alongside individuals through various challenges with empathy and care. I have also worked closely with children for over 12 years, not in a counseling role but as a children’s church pastor. This experience deepened my passion for supporting families and fostering emotional and spiritual growth in young people.

I am glad you are reaching out for support, and I consider it a true privilege to be part of your healing journey. I aim to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and valued.

My counseling approach is integrative, and client centered. The three evidence-based approaches I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), while also attending to the whole person emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. I also offer Christian counseling as a part of the therapeutic process for interested clients. Together, we can explore your strengths, gain insight, and take meaningful steps toward healing and growth.

I look forward to connecting with you and supporting your path toward hope and restoration.
